The IT Support Technician is a professional responsible for ensuring all systems and technologies related to the workplace environment at the Cheadle office operate efficiently and effectively.


To achieve this goal, your functions will be the following:


  • Oversee and maintain the technological infrastructure at the Cheadle office, including networks, servers, storage systems, and other IT equipment.
  • Provide technical support to employees to resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in the workplace environment.
  • Coordinate the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of computers, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment used by employees.
  • Administer the installation, updating, and licensing of software on all office devices, ensuring compliance with security policies and best practices.
  • Implement security measures to protect the network, data, and systems against cyber threats, including access management, event monitoring, and regular backups.
  • Work closely with other teams such as Human Resources, Operations, and Project Management to ensure effective integration of technological solutions into company processes and workflows.
  • Develop training materials and documentation for employees on the proper use of technology in the workplace, as well as procedures for common troubleshooting issues.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and tools that may enhance efficiency and productivity in the workplace environment, recommending implementations as necessary.


The knowledge you should bring to Jumbo Group to take our services to the next level is:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Previous experience in IT roles, preferably with a focus on user support and infrastructure management.
  • Deep knowledge of operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux) and enterprise productivity suites (Microsoft Office, G Suite).
  • Familiarity with network technologies, cybersecurity, and mobile device management (MDM).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
